As part of its "Beautiful Gardens of the World" series, U3A Baw Baw members rugged up for a chilly autumn morning visit to Broughton Hall Gardens in Jindivick.
The group of 19 U3A members enjoyed viewing the rare and wonderful plants in the nursery, wandering the silver birch forest, and touring the main garden with its north views over the Tarago Reservoir.
They were impressed with the Egyptian gates leading to the residence, mature trees clothed in autumn spender and well-equipped gardens with seats, Grecian urns and pillars.
The calm and tranquil visit concluded with morning tea on the terrace. The group is looking forward to a return visit in spring.
