Modern twist for debutantes

Lardner Park was the venue for Trafalgar High School's recent debutante ball, which was the largest held by the school.
This year's deb ball saw 45 couples presented and performing a range of dance styles under the instruction of Bobby Viney and Kim Moroney.
The debutante couples were presented to an official party of leadership staff and school council members.
The event was a huge success mixing the traditions of the past with a modern take on the celebration.
The year 10 students enjoyed their night and in their speech, students Piper Albert and Waylon Van Der Stoep thanked staff for their contribution to managing the event and families who made it possible for the students to have their night.
The event had a focus on supporting local business with all suppliers being local to West Gippsland.
The band for the evening was 'The Hus-Band' formed by former Trafalgar High School students.
