Foster will play Yinnar for the chance to play off against Fish Creek in the 2025 Mid Gippsland senior football grand final.

Preliminary final: Foster v Yinnar
Ladder position: 1st v 3rd.
Venue: Boolarra Recreation Reserve at 2.20pm on Saturday.
Round 7 meeting: Foster 10-11-71 defeated Yinnar 9-7-61.
What the coaches said at the time:
Sam Davies (Foster):
"Huge win for the group - they jumped us, we lost a forward in the first and we had our backs against the wall when the score was 40-9 in the second. But, we got the game back on our terms from then on.
"It was a real team effort and buy in to keep grinding away, and we backed our fitness to outrun them late. "We kicked crucial goals when it mattered and it's a game we can refer back to throughout the year when the going gets tough."
Sam McCulloch (Yinnar):
"We came out and started the game with a high intensity and took advantage of the breeze.
"Midway through the second, Foster got on top and maintained that for a large portion of the game. We certainly were still a chance to win late in the game, but couldn't get the job done.
"We've learnt a lot about ourselves over the last two weeks and will get to work over some areas we need to work on."

Sam Davies:
"The beauty of finishing top two is the second chance, no time to be down and out.
"Big week of recovery and planning for this weekend."
Sam McCulloch:
"Last week it was a very even performance from the whole group. Was a four quarter performance in which we maintained our intensity throughout and were composed when needed.
"Look forward to Foster this week and will need to bring the same level of footy to progress through to the grand final."
