A top of the table clash, an exciting junior win and a milestone were highlights when Warragul netballers clashed with Moe on Saturday.
A grade: Warragul 57 lost to Moe 63
In an exciting top of the table clash, the Gulls girls fought hard all day, just falling six goals short in the end.
The defence end held up well, trialling new combinations and working tirelessly throughout the game.
The midcourt brought great intensity, linking both ends with strong drives.
It was an exciting glimpse of what the Gulls are capable of and lots of positives to build upon.

B grade: Warragul 44 lost to Moe 49
The Gulls showed tremendous heart and resilience against Moe, narrowly falling short in a spirited contest.
Despite trailing by more than 10 goals at multiple points throughout the game, the team refused to give in. Their grit and determination came to the fore in the final quarter, where they surged back into the match and cut the margin to just three goals with minutes to play.
The pressure and intensity lifted across the court, with defensive turnovers converting into fast transitions and strong shooting under pressure.
The connections between players are clearly beginning to solidify, with improved ball movement, timing and understanding evident across all thirds. The attacking combinations are starting to click, and the defensive unit is building real synergy, giving great promise for the second half of the season.
This performance, while not resulting in a win, is a clear step forward and a reminder that Warragul's B grade side is capable of matching it with any team when they play their brand of netball.

C grade: Warragul 19 lost to Moe 41
The Gulls showed some great teamwork and determination in a hard match against Moe.
Strong defensive pressure from the backline kept the opposition on their toes, while some smart passing through the midcourt helped create solid scoring opportunities.
It was a physical game for the goalers, who gave it their all and stayed composed throughout the whole game.
Awards: Lucy Williamson, Mischa Moore and Ellie Beechey-Danvers.
17 and under: Warragul 39 defeated Moe 33
This was an exciting game resulting in a well-deserved win.
Once again the team was able to maintain composure when under pressure. The midcourt worked hard and maintained pace, whilst the defenders switched well and worked seamlessly together.
Each quarter was played as a new start and the strength the Gulls displayed was dominant. Vision across the court was excellent in picking up loose balls, as was working around the ring; resetting if necessary.
All up, an excellent team game.

15 and under: Warragul 28 lost to Moe 43
This game marked a special celebration of 50 games for great defender Finlay Heenan. This amazing achievement was marked by a spectacular pre-game dance celebration from her Buddy Ellen.
Both teams came out firing and and playing fast, hard, explosive netball with the score going goal-for-goal.
With Moe upping their strong pressure, the Gulls girls became a little rattled and out of sorts.
A few positional changes saw Warragul come back within three goals. However, the usual confidence in one another wasn't showing and Moe were able to capitalise on mistakes to take out the win.

13 and under: Warragul 4 lost to Moe 41
The young Gulls faced a tough task against third placed Moe, but put in a fabulous effort.
Fighting off the cold in the first half, the Warragul side came out strongly in the third quarter to score three goals to Moe's eight. The Gulls had fun but Moe proved too strong.
