United's curse continues

Gippsland United suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 defeat at home in Saturday night's State League One clash with Doveton.
The Gippsland boys, who were once again without many key players in what has been a wretched year of injuries, were resilient and brave and put on a fabulous display in front of a big crowd at Baxter Park.
Going in as underdogs against fifth-placed Doveton, Gippsland were expecting a tough one.
Full credit should go to coach Jason Dastey and his team for a spirited display however, and at no stage did the United players look daunted by the challenge and even after conceding an early goal against the run of play, they quickly rallied together to snatch an equaliser.
