Trafalgar finishes strong in reserves

Trafalgar have taken the points over Neerim-Neerim South in an entertaining battle between fourth and fifth on the Ellinbank District reserves ladder.
Trailing by six-points at the final change, the Bloods added the final three goals of the contest to get over the line, 10-4 (64) to 8-4 (52).
Trafalgar held a narrow lead for much of the first half, before the Cats added three goals to one in the third term to take the lead.
Hardy Kenny, Keegan Tullett, Tom Sampson, Daniel Puglia, William Claridge and Hayden Brock led the strong finish for the Bloods.
Giving the Cats every chance were Tom Zeldenryk, Nathan Bayne, Patrick Sheehan, Toby Bayne, Liam Edgar and Declan Bagot.
BULN BULN comfortably accounted for Bunyip to move to sixth on the ladder, but there is a clear gap to the top five.
Having played out a draw last time they met, the Lyrebirds ensured this would not happen again as they burst out of the blocks with four goals to one.
From there they controlled the contest with seven goals to four to win 11-13 (79) to 5-5 (35).
Jared Lane, Jacob Pickthall, James Fowler, Bryce Monahan, Jaran Guy and Rylan Kovacs led the way for Buln Buln.
The Bulldogs were best served by Nick Roberts, Max Hunter, Jesse Garner, Paul Stow, Josh Collins and Caleb Walsh.
YARRAGON outlasted Catani in another match between sides outside the top five.
The Blues, who scored the opening goal of the contest, were not helped by a return of 2-11 (23) as the Panthers finished with 8-4 (52).
THE top three further consolidated with big wins, Longwarry booting a whopping 30-20 (200) to Poowong's 2-1 (13).
Jake Tabone booted six goals with Bailey Rowe, Ben Cuckson, Reece Asmus, Justin Mitchell and Luke Ramsay also prominent.
The Magpies were best served by Beau Hull, Rory Gilliatte, Connor King, Bryce Moyce, Toby Moyce and Liam McMillan.
ELLINBANK were ruthless in a big win over Nilma-Darnum, 19-15 (129) to 0-1 (1).
Adam Campbell (six goals), Sam Barwick, Will O'Brien, Sean Paynter, Mark Quigley and Jack Vogan led the charge.
The better players for the Bombers were Josh Kelly, Rhonan Perry, Raphael Hayward, Jaxon Cook, Garry Hallam and Blake Roberts.
LANG LANG was a strong victor over Nyora.
