One of the longest droughts in country footy came to an end on Saturday as Bunyip finally secured their first win in almost three years.
There were absolute scenes on the final siren at Bunyip Recreation Reserve as the home fans raucously cheered on their team to a 27-point victory over Poowong before shaking the walls with one of the loudest renditions of Bunyip's song the club has ever heard.
Making it all the more special was the fact the win came on the club's life members and sponsors day, meaning a sizeable crowd was in attendance to see their Bulldogs break through 12.12 (84) to 8.9 (57).
