There was plenty of colour and activity at the Warragul Leisure Centre on Saturday for the fifth annual Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby Pride Cup.
Run in collaboration with Gippsland Pride Initiative, the Pride Cup featured a mix of roller derby events and a range of activities and stalls for attendees to enjoy.
Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby president Sarah Lawless described the event as a celebration of diversity, equality, and inclusion in the roller derby community and beyond.
"It's very much a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, in particular, a celebration of trans and gender diverse people's involvement in sport and a bit of a showcase of their awesome skills and abilities," she said.
The event kicked off with the junior level one match between the Rainbow Raiders and the Glitter Gang, with the Rainbow Raiders taking out the win 207-179.
Rainbow Revolution took on Glitterati in the junior level two match. Glitterati finished on top, 227-210.
The Happy Camp-ers battled it out against the Trans-Formers in the adult modified contact category, taking home the win 235-221.
The Pride Cup's highly anticipated exhibition match saw the Gippsland Ranges Roller Derby take on The Gender Ending Story once again.
After a high intensity match, the Gender Ending Story brought home the win, 190-149.
This year's Pride Cup had even more on offer than years gone by thanks to funding from Victoria's Pride Regional Activation Program.
Sarah said funding enabled the Pride Cup to host more arts focused activities and stall holders, including a portrait studio called "The Pride in Us" run by local photographer Lauren Murphy and a gender affirming clothes swap organised by the Gippsland Pride Initiative.
