After a tight tussle, Neerim District's top team had a loss to Garfield in round three on Saturday.
 
Division two: Neerim District lost to Garfield 65/74
Travelling to Garfield, Neerim District could only manage to win one rink as the home side prevailed in three rinks. The overall shot difference was just nine shots.
The team of John Rochford, Ray Watts, Michael Talbot and Peter Brooks (skip) were the best for Neerim with a three-shot win, 20/17.
Division four: Neerim District (2) lost to Traralgon (4) 50/113
The visiting Traralgon recorded a four-rink win.
The rink of Des Pelly, Wendy Olsson, George Rymer and Kay Cousins (skip) were the best performers for the home team.
 
Midweek
Neerim District's top team had a narrow seven-shot loss at Newborough on Tuesday.
Division two: Neerim District lost to Newborough (3) 41/48
Travelling to Newborough, blue skies and a strong wind further dried out the green after more than 34mm of rain in the previous days.
It was a tight contest overall until the last couple of ends, when the hosts pulled away for a seven-shot win.
Best for Neerim were Maureen Halligan, Kay Cousins, Robert Cook and Pat Fraser-Aurisch (skip) who had a seven-shot win, 22/15.
Division two are fifth on the ladder.
Division five: Neerim District (2) lost to Traralgon RSL (3) 23/49
Each team had a rink win when Neerim travelled to Traralgon RSL. However, the hosts won the overall contest by 26 shots.
Best for Neerim were Roger Till, Pamela Majak, Mel Neil and Graeme Wingrove with a three-shot victory, 19/16.
Division five are currently fifth on the ladder.
Mixed pairs
The first and second rounds of the club's mixed pairs championship were completed on Sunday in warm and windy conditions.
As the day drew to a close, the semi-finalists were decided. Maureen Halligan and Angus McGillivray will play Linda Chapple and Jim Schroeder in semi final one. Semi final two will feature Sian Clarke and Craig Clarke playing against Gregg Chapple and Pat Aurisch. The two victors will play off in the final.
