In scenes usually saved for a premiership win, popping blue confetti and a ground invasion was the order of the day just one minute and thirty-eight seconds into the game.
The occasion was Mason McGarrity's 100th goal of the season, the first of seven majors for the afternoon as Neerim-Neerim South scored a massive win over Nilma-Darnum, 30-29 (209) to 2-5 (17).
With marquees and a big crowd camped at the gate end of the ground, the Cats promptly kicked to that end and set about looking for the dynamic forward.
A first attempt to find him missed, but there was a great cheer as Tyssen Morrow cut off the defensive exit and found McGarrity on a lead.
