Another week, another case of marvellous Mason.
Following last week's 18 goal haul, Neerim-Neerim South forward Mason McGarrity put through 12 majors in a thumping Cats victory over Poowong, 38-22 (250) to 4-3 (27).
The huge 30 goal fortnight has closed the gap to leading goal kicker Jason Wells to just two, setting up an enthralling shootout for the remainder of the season.
A nine goal to one first term set the Cats on their way and they didn't let up, putting a whopping 20 goals on the board to half time.
Tyssen Morrow, Kai Mounsey and Lachlan Bambridge also got in on the act, finishing with 14 goals between them as the Cats racked up a huge score.
Kody Wilson, Eddie McGillivray and William Papley also were prominent for the home side.
CATANI comfortably accounted for Bunyip to keep in touch with the top five, winning 14-16 (100) to 8-5 (53).
While the Blues put through nine goals with the wind, kicking two goals to one in the second term proved key in setting up a comfortable 54-point advantage at the final change.
Jordan White, Tyler Fowkes, James Williams, Ryan Smith, Daniel Keily and Jack Hobson helped the Blues to a winning position.
The Bulldogs won the final term with four goals to three to take something from the contest.
Bunyip's better players were Ben Stewart, Ned Ashton, Samuel Hughes, Tahj Murphy, Matthew O'Halloran and Reid Jenkin.
TRAFALGAR overcame early inaccuracy to kick away from Nyora, winning 20-19 (139) to 5-1 (31).
A return of 3-9 in the first term kept the Saints in touch before the Bloods kicked away with an eight goal to one second quarter.
The Saints won a torrid third term with two goals to one, only for Trafalgar to kick away again with eight final term goals.
Blake Slater and Kyle Beveridge finished with 12 goals between them with Dylan Farrell, Jace Butler, Jake Roe-Duggan and Cooper Minichiello also prominent.
Nyora were best served by Tyler Kirkbride, Paul Delaroche, Lewis Kennedy, Jesse Heylen, Dylan Heylen and Corey Lucas.
A BIG game from Braydon Preuss helped Yarragon bounce back with a comfortable victory over Nilma-Darnum, 17-14 (116) to 6-12 (48).
The Bombers entered the contest with some confidence but aside from a competitive second term of two goals to three, the Panthers were able to control the contest.
Preuss finished with 34 disposals, four goals and eight score involvements in a best afield effort as the Panthers kicked away in the second half with 10 goals to three.
The Bombers were best served by Nathan Campbell, Kade Rossborough, Thomas Young, Troy Clarke and Jeremy Jarred.
