Lyrebirds hold on in under 18s

Three goals to one in the final quarter saw Buln Buln close out a thrilling under 18 contest with Nilma-Darnum, 8-8 (56) to 7-9 (51).
The Lyrebirds burst out of the blocks before the Bombers hit back to take a narrow eight-point lead into the final change.
Bailey Nicholas, Callum Kennedy, Adam Pickthall, John Stuckey and Keegan James helped lift Buln Buln to victory.
Keeping the Bombers in the contest were Blake Lyon, James Patterson, Albert McAuley, Blake Meggetto, Jaxon Cook and Jacob Egan.
OTHER matches were one-sided with Poowong comfortably accounting for Trafalgar, 12-16 (88) to 5-4 (34).
Jett Blackwood, Bryce Broadmore, Ben Camp, Gavin Monson, Aaron Damon and Marty Cook helped the Magpies control the contest.
The Bloods were best served by Jamie Buch, Chase Ingram, Brodie Gauci, Zak Larkin, Harrison Martin and Jett Marslen.
