Warragul played host to the final matches of the Gippsland Cricket League under 15 Junior Country Week last week in a highly competitive tournament.
Sale-Maffra team took out the top prize for the 12th time with a resounding five-wicket victory against the younger opponents from Leongatha at Western Park.
In what proved to be a very even competition, Leongatha, Sale-Maffra, and Warragul finished the preliminary rounds equal on points but separated by percentage with two victories and a draw, while Latrobe Valley finished a close fourth with two significant victories against Sale-Maffra and Bairnsdale.

Several performances from the carnival deserve mentioning.
