Warragul footballer Ky Bannister will represent the Gippsland region after being the area's lone player selected in the School Sport Victoria 15 and under boys' football team.
Ky and his teammates will travel to Queensland later this month for the national championship where they will take on some of the best young footballers Australia has to offer.
More than 600 players tried out for the final squad of 25 across three trials, leaving Ky as the lone Gippslander to make the cut.
