Drouin netballers had a tough day against Moe, with C grade the only team to get the four premiership points.
A grade: Drouin 57 lost to Moe 74
Drouin started strongly in a fast and skilful first quarter from both teams. The Hawks pegged back a five-goal deficit late in the quarter to be only one goal down at the first break.
Moe turned up the heat in the second quarter with a 23-goal spree, keeping Drouin to just 10 goals. Moe were ruthless, capitalising on every turnover.
Drouin regrouped in the second half to be competitive against high quality opposition. Charlize Traumanis stood up in goal shooter under enormous defensive pressure, linking up well with experienced midcourters Christie Edwards and Ella Henderson. Drouin defenders April Bethune and Lucy McKellar worked tirelessly all game to get intercepts and deflections.
It was pleasing to see Drouin still scoring at a consistent rate in the second half despite being under pressure for every possession.

B grade: Drouin 38 lost to Moe 76
It was another tough day at the office for the Hawks, who gave it their all in a hard-fought 60 minute clash. Unfortunately, they couldn't come away with the win.
Right from the first whistle, the intensity was high, with both teams pushing hard across the court.
The Hawks showed plenty of determination but Moe's consistency and structure proved too tough to crack.
Ruby Pratt was a standout performer for the Hawks, working tirelessly whilst shifting between attacking and defensive roles throughout the game.

C grade: Drouin 40 defeated Moe 35
The Hawks were consistent across the four quarters, keeping up their scoring rate.
They probably had chances to extend their lead but were not able to capitalise on these in crucial moments, which kept Moe in the game. However, Drouin did well to maintain determination in defence across the court, creating lots of scoring opportunities.
Jodie Proctor was a steady influence in the attack end and Georgia Henderson got lots of turnovers in defence.

17 and under: Drouin 42 lost to Moe 43
This was a match that had everyone on the edge of their seats as it all came down to a goal-for-goal last quarter.
Unfortunately, the end result didn't fall Drouin's way. But, the girls put in an incredible effort in the last half to reduce the margin.
In attack, Fiona Nalder was a steady, fast force and shot with accuracy in high pressure moments. She combined well with Amber Hammond, who stepped up from the 15s to fill the goal shooter role.
Showing her versatility, Leilani Lightowler transitioned from centre to goal defence at half-time and had some key turnovers, along with Chloe Walsh in defence.

15 and under: Drouin 31 lost to Moe 36
This was a very tightly contested game between two very evenly matched teams.
It was obvious right from the first whistle that the game would be won by the team who could stay calm under pressure and step up in the big moments. Moe was the eventual winner but the Hawks can be proud of their efforts.
Working hard all game, they turned the ball over in defence and stood tall in attack, making sure they converted their turnovers. All nine players stepped up to the challenge and played their role out on court.

13 and under: Drouin 15 lost to Moe 26
This was a tough game for the girls who put in a great effort.
There were plenty of positives to take away from the match. The team showed resilience and moments of strong connection across the court.
Libby Walsh was exceptional in the defence end, showing great experience and leadership. She played a critical role in keeping the opposition under pressure.
Drouin will aim to regroup, learn from the challenges and come back stronger.
