Gulls take A grade win

Warragul won A and B grades on Sunday after taking out one junior win on Friday night.
The clubs agreed to the night fixture to avoid a clash for junior netballers participating in Sunday's association championships in Bairnsdale.
A grade: Warragul 72 defeated Drouin 47
What a day it was for Gulls A grade. A strong first quarter set the tone for the day.
The attacking end worked tirelessly, rewarding the efforts of the strong Gulls defenders. Drouin fought back in the third quarter but Gulls were too strong, pulling away with a 23-11 last quarter.

B grade: Warragul 57 defeated Drouin 45
Warragul put on a strong and cohesive performance to claim victory over Drouin in this rivalry clash.
The Gulls got off to a flying start, establishing an early lead with an 18-goal first quarter.
This game was particularly special for Brooke Cahill, who celebrated her 50th game in Warragul colours. Brooke was outstanding through the midcourt, showcasing her experience and composure in all four quarters. Her work rate and vision helped drive Warragul's transitions and maintain momentum.
The team's connection and trust in each other were clear from the first whistle. Warragul's ability to work together and adapt across all thirds of the court made a massive difference in their overall performance.
Each quarter highlighted discipline and defensive pressure, as well as efficient feeding into the goal circle.
Warragul's consistency and teamwork ultimately proved the difference. It was a great way to mark Brooke's milestone.

C grade: Warragul 36 lost to Drouin 44
Despite a hard-fought battle, Warragul went down to Drouin by eight goals.
The girls showed determination and grit throughout the game, keeping the pressure on right until the final whistle.
Awards: Olivia Barr, Cara Gavin and Lucy Williamson.
17 and under: Warragul 34 lost to Drouin 48
Under lights on Friday night and short some regular players, the Gulls came together and played well as a team. They were assisted by some under 15 players who stepped up to play.
Despite it being a physical contest, the Gulls adjusted their game to play to the conditions.
Shooters found space, utilising both movement around the ring and holding on the body. Attacking pressure was strong, with the midcourt and defensive players bringing great intensity.
Despite the final score, it was an exciting game and great to see the connection between the players continue to build as the season progresses.

15 and under: Warragul 61 defeated Drouin 30
On a cold evening, Warragul came out firing to show they were ready to play serious netball.
With strong, fast explosive defence and attacking all over the court, the Gulls created a great lead.
The confidence and determination was back as aggressive defensive pressure saw the ball turned over again and again. The goalers were able to capitalise with beautiful attack play in the goal ring and accurate shooting. It was an impressive display of determination, confidence and skill all over the court.

13 and under: Warragul 3 lost to Drouin 36
Although another tough game for the young Gulls, there were plenty of positives to take away.
The girls showed great determination, with strong defensive pressure right across the court being a real highlight. The team continues to build and improve each week.
