Gulls perched in second

Warragul is one of three teams which has broken away at the top of the A grade ladder.
The Gulls, undefeated after six games, have a three-game buffer over a trio of sides placed fourth to sixth.
A grade: Warragul 67 defeated Leongatha 42
A strong defensive performance set the tone for the Gulls' 25-goal win over Leongatha.
The attacking line also displayed impressive cohesion and execution. Emma Ryde led from the front, dominating in attack, while Jade Finn made a significant impact at both ends of the court with her versatility.
Naomi Allardyce and Jaime Rollinson were consistent and reliable, playing their roles effectively and offering crucial options.
Renee Cook, Ella Rees and Lily Sheehan were instrumental in defence, frequently turning the ball over and driving the team's strong transition game.

B grade: Warragul 34 lost to Leongatha 55
The Warragul girls showed patches of brilliance during an unfortunate defeat.
There were times when the Gulls had it over the ladder leaders, but they were unable to keep the momentum consistently.
The score definitely didn't reflect the game and gives the girls confidence that they can compete with the best teams in the competition.
Improvements to consistency and competing for the full four quarters will be key for future success.

C grade: Warragul 26 lost to Leongatha 49
The Gulls had a strong game against Leongatha.
Plenty of defensive pressure was applied throughout the game, with some great team play and a hard fought second half.
The movement from goalers was great to watch, making the feeding into the ring from the midcourt spot on. The defensive end worked tirelessly all game to create the pressure against tough opponents, being rewarded with many well earnt turnovers.

17 and under: Warragul 35 lost to Leongatha 40
This was an exciting game to watch!
The Gulls were goal-for-goal for the majority of the first half. Strong attack combined with defensive pressure ensured the opposition were made to work hard for the win.
The team displayed great teamwork and positive communication. Despite the loss, there is growth and many positives to take to future matches.

15 and under: Warragul 48 defeated Leongatha 38
This game got off to a great start as both teams played consistent, steady netball. They converted each play into a goal.
With teams going going goal-for-goal, it was a very tight battle all over the court.
Leongatha were able to convert some turnovers into goals and had a six-goal lead. However, the Gulls didn't let this drop their confidence and came back firing, led by some tight defensive pressure all over the court. They were able to turn momentum and level the scores.
The girls fought and never gave up against the very strong, confident Leongatha. In the last quarter, the girls proved their growing bond and confidence in one another. With determination under tight pressure, they came away with an impressive 10-goal win.

13 and under: Warragul 3 lost to Leongatha 53
The girls came out strong, scoring the first goal of the game.
Tannah Green's energy was electric from start to finish; she never stopped moving and lifted the whole team with her enthusiasm.
A special shoutout to Ida Blackwood who, as the team's shortest player, stepped into goal keeper with incredible spirit. Ida may be small, but she is no pushover. Her effort was absolutely electric and inspired all who watched.
Another standout moment was Addison Burton's confidence in goal keeper. Her self-assurance and pride in her performance were a true highlight for the coaches. It was wonderful to see her back herself and own her position on court.
The girls never gave up, making the club very proud.
