Warragul native James Golding was at the centre of the Supercars universe on Sunday in a frantic - and controversial - finish to the Bathurst 1000.
Golding managed to cross the finish line first at the end of the wet and wild weekend, but a five-second penalty - handed down a result of a previous incident that wiped out fellow racer Cooper Murray - put him back for a third-place finish.
