Gippsland United fall to South Springvale

The Gippsland United men's state league one team had a tough afternoon at home on Saturday, going down to South Springvale 6-1.
After levelling the scores at one apiece, United could well have gone into the halftime break with the lead after young Harry Bettridge hit the post with a low strike. It would be Springvale's day however as a flurry of second half goals would sink an undermanned and out gunned Gippsland.
The home team limped into the match with seven senior players missing due to injury or unavailability. Sammy Gatpan, Baley Row, Oscar Sheehan, Ashley Ross, Riley Hamilton, Pranay Fadnis and Jacob Wilson all sat on the sidelines.
