Four wins for Gulls

Warragul netballers dominated on the courts as the club celebrated four wins against Maffra on Saturday.
A grade: Warragul 95 defeated Maffra 21
The Gulls delivered their biggest win of the season with a dominant 74-goal win.
The girls came out firing in the first quarter, scoring 26 goals whilst keeping Maffra to just four.
Overall, it was just a great team game. Intercepts were taken all over the court and then converted by the goalers. Not once did the team take their foot off the pedal, which allowed the Gulls to push out to 95 goals.

B grade: Warragul 54 defeated Maffra 21
Warragul had a fabulous game, starting from the first whistle.
Through their defensive pressure, they kept Maffra to just two goals in the first quarter whilst scoring 15 themselves. The Gulls extended the lead to 22 goals by half-time.
The second half was a closer affair but Warragul continued to extend the lead, winning by 33 goals.

C grade: Warragul 43 defeated Maffra 22
The Gulls were thrilled to deliver a dominant performance and secure a stunning win.
From the opening minutes, Warragul set the tone with explosive energy and clinical execution, building an early lead.
The Gulls' defensive pressure was relentless, turning turnovers into scoring opportunities.

17 and under: Warragul 29 lost to Maffra 30
This was a tight game where the Gulls could showcase their ongoing development.
Composure and calmness ensured the team had the capacity to play a competitive game. Leads to the ball, working under fatigue and teamwork were all on display.
A slight loss of momentum in the third quarter was identified and used at the last break to re-focus the team toward a strong final quarter.
The close game presents an exciting opportunity to build upon next time the two teams meet.

15 and under: Warragul 42 defeated Maffra 28
In very windy conditions, Warragul took on Maffra.
Warragul came out firing, with a very strong first quarter. As the wind picked up, Maffra were able to capitalise with some accurate goaling to make it a tough, tight game.
Warragul looked a little rattled but were able to regroup and regain confidence in each other. With tight defensive pressure and amazing attacking play, they comfortably came away with the win.

13 and under: Warragul 10 lost to Maffra 38
It was a special day for Billie Gray, celebrating her 50th game, and she certainly rose to the occasion.
Billie was a standout and named best on court, impressing in both wing attack and goal defence with her relentless effort and composure.
Isla O'Brien and Tilly Hodge proved to be a strong combination in goals, working hard and combining well under pressure. Addie Burton and Ella Carpenter had great games in defence, showing determination and grit right to the final whistle.
The midcourt superstars - Ida and Evelyn Blackwood, Bella Senini, and Tannah Green - fed the goalers beautifully and applied excellent defensive pressure throughout the game.
It was a great team performance and a proud milestone for Billie.
