Warragul Industrials made it two wins from as many matches in Female Football Gippsland's juniors this weekend.
Youth Girls division one
Dusties v Bairnsdale at Bairnsdale
After a long drive to Bairnsdale Warragul Industrials were able to hold their opposition to one goal to win 6.7 (43) to 1.0 (6).
Despite the scoreline, a lot of pressure was put on by both teams all game.
The Dusties certainly had to work hard with no bench to rotate. Abbey Wilson, Kira Wilson and Brooke Olsen both kept the pressure through the middle.
A mark in the forward 50 for Wilson led to a goal in the final quarter.
There were also goals to Isabelle Maloney - who proved her skills in the forward line - and Molly Boulter. Consistently a strong target up forward was Ella Sowden with three goals.
Best on for Warragul Industrials were Abbey Wilson, Kira Wilson, Isabelle Maloney, Gracie Bredin, Ella Sowden and Brooke Olsen.
Under 16s
It was a comprehensive performance from the under 16s as they demolished Nar Nar Goon 15.16 (106) to 1.0 (6) at home in a complete team effort.
Indi Olsson dominated the ground balls and worked hard to move the ball forward.
Mia Greco was strong at centre half forward in the air and Skye Ward was electric up forward, kicking four goals on debut.
The pair of Marli Gay and Lily Huggins continued to be a wall down back with Gay continuing to show great effort in working for her teammates through the midfield.
Stella Reynolds was outstanding in all areas of the field, kicking a big torpedo goal and ruck Tianjah May was hard at it all day, giving her midfielders first use.
Alisha Jamieson continues to be super consistent, generating many forward forays.
This week the youth girls are at home on Friday night against Newborough and the under 16s have a week off.
