Dusties bounce back

Warragul Industrials bounced back in style on Saturday to hand Karingal their first defeat of the season, coming away winners by 25 points.
In what was the match of the round, the Dusties were entering the match against a Karingal side full of confidence, having recruited strongly in the off-season and coming straight off the back of two strong wins to begin the year.
The Dusties, however, were able to turn the tables in an arm wrestle, kicking away late to register a 6.9 (45) to 3.2 (20) victory.
The first quarter was tight with Dusties having lots of forward entries but only being able to score one goal.
Karingal moved the ball with plenty of pace at times, hitting the scoreboard with two goals of their own to take an early advantage.
The second quarter saw the Dusties team begin to take control through slowing the Karingal ball movement and capitalising on their own forward entries.
Midfielders Elise Molesworth, Alisha Molesworth and Abbie Hoiberg-Cox took control of stoppages with ruck Jess Szalek giving them first use, while Chelsea Sutton was proving a handful for the Karingal defenders.
The game became heated in the third as tempers flared. Unfortunately for the visitors, Karingal kicked the only goal for the quarter.
After a reset at three quarter time the Dusties came out and dominated the last quarter. Monai Porykali, Lily Van Berkel and Brooke Hunter were superb across half back as they were able to stop every attempt of the Karingal team to score.
The Dusties forwards were on top and the sealing goal was kicked by Michaela Williams after she received a great pass from Kaitlyn Carew.
Monai Porykali was awarded the Anzac Day medal for her game outstanding game.
Best players for Warragul Industrials were Monai Porykali, Brooke Hunter, Chloe Bailey, Jess Szalek and Chelsea Sutton.
It was a wet and wild Anzac Day at Western Park for Warragul Industrials' division two side as they faced up against Tyabb.
Both teams battled through torrential downpours for four quarters, though it didn't appear to impact the intensity and tenacity of the players.
Half time saw Tyabb powering forward on the scoreboard, leaving Warragul Industrials to reassess and dig deeper into their defensive pressure.
A hard fought game right until the final siren, Tyabb defeated Warragul Industrials 8.5 (53) to 0.0 (0).
After a very successful win, Tyabb's Bridgette Kupsch was awarded the Anzac Day best on ground medal.
Warragul Industrials' best included Remy Ferguson, Melina Eppel, Nik Sheridan, Sophie Scalzo and Crystal Browne.
The two teams will meet again in round 12 at Tyabb's home ground.
