Drouin to decide future

The Drouin Football and Netball Clubs have announced a special general meeting later this month to vote on the clubs' future and where it lies.
Having begun talks with the West Gippsland Football Netball Competition, the clubs have invited their members to a vote on Monday, June 23 to decide whether the club should apply for a transfer from the Gippsland League.
Should the vote pass, it will be the second time the Hawks have sought a move to West Gippsland, having been denied in their 2018 application.
The Hawks are intent on joining West Gippsland under the proviso that it become a multi-tier league, something the competition has signalled as a long-term goal.
Drouin will present members with information from both West Gippsland and Gippsland League before the vote.
Only financial members 18 years or older will be eligible to vote and will need to be members before Sunday, June 22.
Memberships can be purchased on Thursday nights at the clubrooms prior to the meeting.
