Traralgon's Troy Forrest pivots as Drouin's Clayton Kingi also tries to turn on the spot during their round 11 match last year.
Round four of the Gippsland League sees Drouin host a genuine flag contender as Warragul looks to bounce back from a disappointing fortnight.
Drouin vs Traralgon
After three close losses in a row, the tests for Drouin really get going now.
The Hawks have been desperately unlucky not to have registered a win by this point, having fallen in their first three matches by three, eight and seven points respectively.
They've been extremely competitive at all times this year, seemingly believing that no margin is beyond them.
Just last week against Bairnsdale, they found themselves four goals down at two separate points, and managed to fight their way back into the game both times.
That's the glass half full perspective.
A glass half empty kind of person would point out that after not being able to grab a win against three of the league's lower sides, they now have a brutal three-week period where they meet three premiership aspirants in a row.
Traralgon, Wonthaggi and Sale all await the young Hawks, who will have to keep up the heat if they're to challenge them
Thankfully some of the troops return for Drouin this week, as the Kingi brothers and Ryan Taylor provide a boost to the back half.
Having to contend with a forward line like Traralgon's, they'll be necessary too.
Brett Eddy is the obvious target to stop for the Hawks, but the Maroons will also benefit from the return of Harvey Neocleous, who comes back from VFL duty with the Casey Demons.
The two will form a lethal combo that can very quickly get off the chain if Drouin lets them.
The Hawks' home fans will no doubt be keen to see them test themselves against one of the best. They've shown they're up for fight, now we'll see what they're made of.
Morwell vs Warragul
It's a different story for Warragul, who will be looking to respond after two sizeable losses.
Having been handed a brutal two-week period that's seen them come up against the current two premiership frontrunners, the Gulls have been found wanting.
It was a similar story in both matches too.
Quarter one, the Gulls show a hard edge around the ball and a commitment to defence.
Quarter two, the opposition gets things going their way and blow Warragul away.
Quarters three and four, much of the same with some periods of resistance.
It's a narrative that Warragul simply can't allow to repeat this week against Morwell.
The Tigers have had their own struggles thus far, a slim win over Drouin being sandwiched between two poor losses to Moe and Traralgon.
Shellshocked would be an apt word for their performance under lights at Traralgon last week.
Morwell couldn't get their game going at all, and were chewed up and spat out as a result.
There are changes for both sides, with Michael Lynn, Lachlan Collihole, Lachlan Smith and Harry Brown coming into the Warragul side for Bayley Paul, Tom Stern, Matthew O'Halloran and Scott Kelly.
Morwell will welcome back Tristen Waack from the VFL, while Brandon Bailey provides a boost among six changes to last week's team.
Both teams have a point to prove here, so expect plenty of effort from the first siren to the last.
Other games
Leongatha hosts Sale in a grand final rematch.
The Parrots have carried on exactly where they left off last season, having now moved to 3-0 and bringing their total win streak to 31 straight.
It's been a different story for Sale. The Magpies have been plagued by injuries, leaving them to a spluttering start.
No doubt they'd love to be the ones who bring the Leongatha streak to an end though as retribution for last season.
Two of the league's undefeated sides battle it out as Moe meets Bairnsdale.
The Lions announced themselves as a genuine contender last week with a strong comeback win down at Wonthaggi.
Bairnsdale, meanwhile, have benefitted from a strong recruiting spree, having racked up two-and-a-half wins already, half a win better than their total tally for last season.
This will be a true gauge of their improvement against a true contender for the flag.
Win here and suddenly the conversation around them becomes much more serious.
Finally, Maffra and Wonthaggi will be trying to bounce back from disappointing round two performances.
A solid start gave way to a poor finish from Maffra, who remain winless through their first three matches.
They were seconds away from being 0-3, a kick after the siren giving them a draw in round one .
Wonthaggi's match against Moe was a mirror image of the Eagles' too, as they too fell away after a fast start.
The Power will enter as favourites here, as Maffra's once-invincible image appears to have faded away.
