Premiership contenders Ellinbank and Nilma Darnum opened their seasons with wins in round two of Ellinbank and District netball on Saturday.
The A grade sides scored strong wins over Buln Buln and Longwarry respectively.
In the other games, Neerim South kept rolling with a win over an improved Yarragon and Trafalgar scored their first points of the season over Poowong.
Ellinbank put together a consistent four quarters to score a 59-33 win after having the bye in round one.
Nilma, who also sat out round one, got off to a great start against the young Crows team. After sitting at 19-8 at quarter time, the Crows fought back with a 13 goal second quarter. However, Nilma matched them and then pulled away for a 79-38 win.
Yarragon couldn't match the reigning premiers Neerim South - who still have key goaler Kim Edwards out - but kept the margin within 10 goals in the first half.
Eventually the Cats pulled away for a 53-29 win, but the Panthers will take plenty of confidence from the result.
After a two-goal loss to Lang Lang in round one, Trafalgar had a 49-25 win over Poowong. The Bloods have some new combinations to settle in whilst the Magpies showed fight - especially in the third quarter.
Lang Lang and Catani, who is yet to hit the court in an "official" game, both had byes.
Round three will see Nilma Darnum v Catani, Lang Lang v Longwarry, Ellinbank v Yarragon, and Neerim South v Trafalgar. Poowong and Buln Buln have byes.
