It was a clean sweep for Warragul in the Western Derby on Sunday as they claimed wins in all grades of football.
The Gulls' fourths were able to register a fairly comfortable 34-point win in the first match of the day.
With a top three spot still very much on the Gulls' minds as they turn into the second half of the season, the home side were able to boot four of the first five goals on their way to a 4.7 (31) to 10.5 (65) victory.
Fraser Aubrey and Chase Ingram were the main architects up forward for Warragul, both players booting four goals each to be among their side's best.
Though the Hawks stuck around, closing to within three goals early in the last as they threatened a late comeback, the Gulls were able to steady with the final three majors of the contest and keep in touch with the top three.
Cooper Leighton, Henry Allsop, Dean Brown and Nash Olsson were the other Warragul players who impressed.
Drouin will continue their search for their first win though had plenty of encouraging signs here, slow start aside.
Their better performers included Jett Proctor, Bodhi Pitt, Rory Vanderplight, Billy Hanneysee, Archer Hawke and Jordan Courts.
In other fourths results Maffra thumped Leongatha 9.12 (66) to 1.3 (9), Bairnsdale beat Morwell 7.3 (45) to 5.11 (41), Traralgon annihilated Sale 21.29 (155) to 1.1 (7) and Moe whacked Wonthaggi 10.12 (72) to 2.2 (14).
Levi Moore proved to be the hero Warragul's thirds needed on Sunday as they escaped with a six-point win over Drouin.
Moore, who was named Warragul's best for the day, also kicked the final goal of the day to give the Gulls the lead and, ultimately, the win.
Warragul would be breathing a sigh of relief, the 9.4 (58) to 8.4 (52) win keeping them within striking distance of the top three.
It was one of those classic games that ends with the crowd saying nobody deserved to lose.
The scores were close throughout, neither team able to shake the other until the game's final moments.
Given the Gulls are sitting pretty inside the five and the Hawks have struggled with the weight of players required to top up the seniors team, it's a hell of an effort from the visitors, who refused to die wondering.
Keep up that intensity and they'll shock a few teams on the run home.
Outside of Moore it was Harry Hodge, Tom Logan, Isaac Kittelty, Tyson O'Leary and Noah McDonald playing well for Warragul.
Drouin were best served by Jason Huston, Jesse Etchell, Rylie Baker, William Virtue, Ewan Croucher and James Welford.
Elsewhere in the thirds Maffra defeated Leongatha 13.8 (86) to 2.3 (15), Bairnsdale thrashed Morwell 14.11 (95) to 5.1 (31), Traralgon obliterated Sale 19.15 (129) to 3.3 (21) and Moe defeated Wonthaggi 10.11 (71) to 3.5 (23).
Warragul's reserves scored their second win of the year courtesy of a sizeable result over Drouin.
After conceding the first goal of the day the Gulls were untroubled thereafter, eventually coming out on top 12.6 (78) to 2.3 (15).
Much of the result stemmed from the talent available to each team. The Gulls, though not a great side, have a handful of senior calibre players who have been pushed out of the top flight team.
The Hawks, on the other hand, have scrambled for players for much of the year. Just as an example, their best for the day, Liam Lenders, is unlikely to feature much again given his Saturdays are usually spent playing soccer.
Effort's not the issue for Drouin's twos, but there's only so much you can do with what you've got.
Scott Kelly, Tom Hillard, Vincent Kuol, Patrick Carpenter, Jake Hughes and James Davidson were all excellent for Warragul, while Oliver Hermansen, Mason Walker, Arli Fleming, Kyle Baker and Kaleb Hermansen were the other Hawks to do well.
In other reserves results Leongatha trounced Maffra 11.5 (77) to 0.4 (4), Morwell routed Bairnsdale 12.6 (78) to 1.5 (11), Traralgon pulverised Sale 23.12 (151) to 5.4 (34) and Moe won over Wonthaggi 7.14 (56) to 3.2 (20).
