Bombers break clear

Nilma-Darnum moved clear in fourth spot on the Ellinbank District under 18s football ladder, holding on to defeat an ill-disciplined Tigers outfit 10-10 (70) to 8-6 (54).
The Tigers held a narrow lead through the first half, before conceding seven goals to four to fall short as several players fell foul of the umpires with blue card send offs.
James Patterson, Kade Rossborough, Albert McAuley, Archie Price, Blake Lyon and Blake Meggetto helped the Bombers to victory.
Lang Lang were best served by Cody Mannix, Jaeden Ward, Harry Herbert, Ty Thom, Harry Church and Jarrad Francome.
LONGWARRY moved to second on the ladder with a comfortable victory over Neerim-Neerim South, 14-12 (96) to 4-8 (32).
Eight goals from Jed Taylor helped the Crows kick away, with Jedd Clarke, Taijien Koesemans, Connor Bennett, Ji Doyle and Jonah Baroni also prominent.
The better players for the Cats were Declan Shortis, Blair Loft, Blake Macdonald, Daniel Christian, Mitchell Dowling and Jett Muir.
YARRAGON recorded their first victory of the season, overcoming a slow start to comfortably account for Trafalgar 11-12 (78) to 5-3 (33).
Trailing by two goals at the first change, they added 10 goals to two to kick away.
