Not many can say they've built their own cricket club.
Bob Rogers can.
The Iona Cricket Club's standing as a legend in the Warragul District Cricket Association was enshrined last week, when he was inducted as a life member of the association.
WDCA made the announcement to an unsuspecting Rogers at the league presentation night on Wednesday at the Warragul Country Club.
As long as there is an Iona Cricket Club, the name Bob Rogers needs to be mentioned in the same breath.
After all, he is the man who established the club almost 30 years ago.
