Big wins in West Gippsland

There weren't many close games to speak of around the grounds in West Gippsland this week, though one side are now getting in range of the top six.
Here's what you might have missed this week.
Inverloch-Kongwak vs Dalyston
Inverloch-Kongwak have crept closer to the top six after their second consecutive win on Saturday, this time a thumping result over Dalyston.
With confidence high following their upset win against Warragul Industrials last weekend, the Sea Eagles were back to something resembling the side we've come to know in years gone by in a 16.19 (115) to 6.6 (42) shellacking.
After a relatively even first term, the home side took control of the contest, booting 14 goals to three after that point to run out comfortable winners.
Forward Joseph Nowell continued his rich vein of form, leading all comers with five majors and taking him to 12 goals from his last three outings.
Joe Soumilas, Lewis Rankin, Harry McInnes, Jayden Sullivan and Clinton McCaughan were all similarly impressive.
The Sea Eagles now sit just one game and percentage outside the top six. It's a far cry from the dire straits they were in just a few weeks ago, and with winnable games against Koo wee rup and Garfield, it means rumours of their demise this season may have been at least a little exaggerated.
It's back to the drawing board for Dalyson as they prepare to host Warragul Industrials this week.
Their better players on a tough day included Kyle Kirk, Ben Lewis, Fraser West, Kurt Thomas, Dino Karamoshos and Michael Marotta.
Korumburra Bena vs Nar Nar Goon
Some wayward kicking in front of goal did little to slow down Nar Nar Goon in a sizeable win over Korumburra Bena.
First versus last never promised to be a classic, making the Goon's 14.20 (104) to 3.5 (23) victory one of the season's least surprising.
Inaccuracy was all that kept the margin from blowing out further, as the visitors kicked away early and never looked back.
Nar Nar Goon's best were Nate Pipicelli, Ryan Bromley, Cooper Pursell, Dermott Yawney (four goals), Jed Murphy and Jake Smith.
Contributing for Korumburra Bena were Tyler Newton, Josh Hopkins, Matthew Borschman, Kyle Brown, Kodie Walker and Jordan Ceppi.
Phillip Island vs Koo wee rup
A masterclass from Phillip Island coach Cameron Pedersen led the way for the Bulldogs in a 68-point dismantling of Koo wee rup.
Pedersen was absolutely everywhere around the ground, booting four goals to complete a dominant day both individually and for his team as they conquered the Demons 21.12 (138) to 11.4 (70).
Having kicked the first four goals of the day, the home side experienced few issues thereafter, turning the Cowes Recreation Reserve into a killing floor yet again.
With Cora Lynn's loss, it sees them move a game closer to third spot, though still well adrift of a top two position and a potential double chance in finals.
Pedersen, Hayden Bruce, Mark Collison, Billy Taylor (four goals), Jack Huther and Finn O'Brien were among Phillip Island's best.
Trying all day for Koo wee rup were Mitchell Cammarano, Seth O'Hehir, Matthew Voss, Nathan Muratore, Travis Bindley and Tyson Twite.
