The Gippsland Junior Badminton Association individuals tournament scheduled for Saturday turned into a teams event between junior players from Mid Gippsland Junior Badminton Association (MGJBA) and Latrobe Valley.
Play commenced at 9:30am and six rounds of both singles and doubles games were played over three hours at the Warragul Badminton Stadium.
The Latrobe Valley team were victorious, winning 23 games with a total of 621 aces for the morning, over MGJBA's 11 games and 486 aces.
After the first round of singles games, MGJBA were ahead, winning six games to Latrobe Valley's two games.
In the first round of doubles games, MGJBA only won one game to Latrobe Valley's three. However, the difference in the aces was only eight which is a fantastic effort.
Lots of games were played with lots of fun playing against players that the children don't usually play against.
