More than 100 years of combined service by leaders of the scouting movement in Baw Baw district have been recognised.
Eight people were presented with service awards ranging from five to 35 years by district commissioner Steve Asbock.
Heading the list was John Franklin, assistant group leader at Drouin, who has been involved for 35 years and district team member Carol Kemp who has 30 years of service to scouting.
Robert Thomas and Sam Underhill were recognised for their contributions over 10 years and five-year service awards were presented to Aaron Falzon, Glenn Dickson, Shareen Frost and Fiona Kost.
District Commissioner Asbock said the awards were a true reflection of the dedication shown by the leaders and their commitment in helping shape the lives of countless young people across the region.
New members are welcome with opportunities for adults to get involved as leaders or support volunteers.
Those that may be interested can contact Mr Asbock at dc.mtbawbaw@scoutsaustralia.com.au
