A group of 13 senior students from St Joseph's Primary School Trafalgar recently participated in the Lions Club junior public speaking competition.
Organised by Trafalgar Lions Club member Pat Tatterson, the event was judged by Johanna from the Trafalgar Lions Club, alongside former staff members Glenda Mynard and Lucy O'Connell.
Students impressed the audience with their preparation and confidence, with standout performances from William Finken and Zarah Boyle. William claimed first place in the grade 3/4 section, while Zarah secured top honours in the grade 5/6 category.
Both students advanced to the local schools' final, where they again triumphed, winning their respective age groups.
The school community, together with the students' families, expressed great pride in William and Zarah's achievements and wished them every success as they prepare for the district final.
