Farmer rescued from dam
1 min read

A Tonimbuk farmer was winched to safety on Wednesday after getting stuck in mud on his Bridal Rd property.
It is believed the man was attempting to rescue cattle at his property when he entered a dam and began to sink into mud.
Emergency services were called to the farm at about 2.45pm.
Police were assisted by Fire Rescue Victoria, Country Fire Authority and State Emergency Service volunteers, and Ambulance Victoria.
The police air wing attended and winched the 49-year-old man to safety. He was transported to hospital for observation.
Bunyip CFA reported the scene was tough to access and was a complex multi-agency rescue. "Crews worked together with care and precision, planning multiple backup rescue options to ensure the safest possible outcome," Bunyip CFA reported on Facebook.
Macclesfield CFA large animal rescue unit helped rescue the calf from the dam.
