Local artist Brandon Kroon returned home to Drouin triumphant, after a whirlwind trip to the USA where he "carved" his way to major success at two of the world's biggest chainsaw sculpting competitions.
From Drouin to Seattle, back to Drouin, then off to New York and home again in just a few weeks, Brandon racked up frequent flyer points that would make a Qantas pilot proud.
July was a huge month for the Kroon family, with Brandon competing at Loggerodeo in Washington State and the US Open Chainsaw Sculpture Championship in upstate New York.
He took out third place at the US Open, and at Loggerodeo was awarded both
