An AirTag was used to track a stolen vehicle from Trafalgar to Morwell on Wednesday night.
Police said the victim had just arrived at an Edward Cres, Trafalgar residence when the theft occurred at about 7pm.
They said the victim parked and went inside, almost immediately hearing the vehicle drive off.
Using an AirTag, the 2012 Volkswagen Passat was tracked to Papyrus St, Morwell, where it was recovered.
Police are seeking information on a man with dark hair and a beard seen at the time of the car theft.
