A police operation will target youth crime in Baw Baw these summer school holidays.
Police said Operation Eclipse aims to prevent youth-related crimes including: assaults, including robberies and anti-social behaviour; vehicle-related crime, including carjackings and theft of vehicles; and, property-related crime, including damage and theft.
Police said these types of crimes cause significant harm to the broader Baw Baw community who are often the victims of networked youth offending.
They added that Operation Eclipse seeks to combat this issue through a multipronged approach, including prevention, detection, disruption and education.
If you or someone you know needs to report a crime, please contact Triple Zero (000) in an emergency or the police assistance line on 131 444.
