Riding volunteers thanked for service

Warragul's Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) recently awarded certificates of appreciation to members for their long service to the community organisation.
Warragul RDA is a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association of Victoria (RDAV). The volunteer run organisation teaches students riding skills, games and participation assist them with speech, balance, core strength and spacial awareness.
Riders can attend on a weekly basis and also can attend outside dressage competitions and gymkhanas.
Les Davidson of Warragul RDA was recognised for 25 years volunteering with the Warragul group as well as participating in Victorian, Australian and international RDA programs and events.
Vivienne and William Reid were recognised for their ongoing support of Warragul RDA, both clocking up 18 years of service to the organisation while Gary Fear was recognised for his 11 years of volunteering.
RDA Victoria's activities provide therapeutic benefits, fitness, life skills development, opportunities for achievement and are supported by qualified coaches and volunteers across 35 centres throughout metropolitan and regional Victoria.
As an inclusive and diverse organisation, RDA Victoria welcomes and enables people with disabilities of all types (including intellectual, physical, sensory, and mental illness) and ages to experience enjoyment, personal enrichment and a sense of achievement through equine assisted activities. The organisation's focus is to sustain, develop and grow its programs for the benefit of our riders and future generations of riders.
