A small group of ex-servicemen from five states that first met 56 years ago were given the honour of leading the ANZAC Day parade at Drouin.
Nine members that served with the 8th battalion of the Royal Australia Regiment in Malaysia in 1967-1968 travelled to Drouin for their seventh reunion since serving, previously getting together at locations in almost all states.
Several sons of members of the unit that have died, also attended to maintain the family connections.
