A safe and cash were stolen during burglaries at waste disposal sites on Wednesday morning.
Police reported a burglary at Trafalgar Transfer Station in Giles Rd at 2.50am and a second at Meluca in Weerong Rd between 3.15am and 3.35am.
The two burglaries may be linked to a burglary at Lardner Transfer Station on Friday, July 11.
Police believe bolt cutters were used to cut padlocks to open gates at both Trafalgar and Drouin sites. Windows were then smashed to gain access and search site offices.
It was reported that two people attended the Trafalgar tip site. Office drawers were rummaged through and a safe containing about $250 cash stolen along with a DeWalt drill battery.
At Drouin, three people were captured at the site wearing gloves and face masks. Again, an office was searched through and $600 cash reported stolen from a till.
