A temporary fence has been reinstalled at the Warragul outdoor pool after a WorkSafe investigation.
Baw Baw Shire confirmed fencing was reinstalled at Warragul Leisure Centre until emergency exit door modifications could be undertaken.
A fence separated the outdoor pool from the new stadium during summer, limiting direct access. Following its removal, council advised a permanent fence was never intended.
"The temporary fence replaced the timber 'hoarding' as the project came to an end," a council spokesperson said.
Of its removal, they said "this layout supports operations of the summer outdoor pool and swim carnival events".
"Based on the assessment completed by Life Saving Victoria in May, no fencing or barrier issues were identified," council said. "As such, we understand that the current setup complies with relevant pool safety regulations for public settings."
However, council has since reinstalled the temporary fence as a result of a recent WorkSafe investigation.
"The fencing is a temporary solution and will be removed once the works to the emergency exit doors are complete," a council spokesperson said.
