Stolen plates used in fuel theft

Vehicle registration plates stolen from Drouin were used in a Warragul fuel theft.
Police said the plates, 1NH 5DU, were reported stolen from a silver Mitsubishi Triton parked in the front yard of a Lakeside Crt.
The theft occurred sometime between Wednesday, May 14 and Monday, May 19.
Police said a white Mitsubishi Outlander displaying the stolen registration plates attended the Astron service station in Albert Rd last Tuesday at 8am.
The driver allegedly filled the vehicle with 50 litres of fuel, valued at $93, before departing without payment.
