A stolen Mercedes-Benz was set on fire at Rawson in the early hours of Thursday, August 14.
Firefighters from Erica and District CFA and Westbury CFA responded to the car fire at about 1.40am, finding it fully alight upon arrival at Tyers-Walhalla Rd.
Police said a witness located the fire and called 000.
The car was determined to be a white 2015 Mercedes-Benz station wagon. It was valued at $60,000.
The owners were unaware the car had been stolen from a residential property in Traralgon until being contacted by police. The theft occurred after 7.30pm on Wednesday, August 13.
