Two stolen cars allegedly rammed a police vehicle in an attempt to flee Longwarry Recreation Reserve early Saturday morning.
Police arrested four people - including three teenagers - after the 12.15am incident.
Longwarry residents contacted police with reports of two vehicles ramming each other at the football oval just five minutes earlier. It has since been determined that one car was a Holden Captiva reported stolen from Morwell and the other was a Holden Commodore reported stolen from Doveton.
Drouin Police deployed stop sticks across the entrance and blocked the exit with their vehicle while waiting for backup. However, police allege both stolen vehicles attempted to force their way past the divisional van, with one getting stuck after hitting a chain link fence.
Four people were arrested at the scene.
A 16-year-old Traralgon girl was charged and remanded to appear at Children's Court.
A 23-year-old Moe woman was charged and bailed to appear at the Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court on October 2.
A 14-year-old Longwarry boy was charged and bailed to appear Children's Court.
A 15-year-old Moe boy was arrested but no charges laid. He may receive a summons at a later date.
