The snow gums were dusted with fresh snow, marking the beginning of the 2025 snow season.

Hayley Gwynne-Duncan from Eltham visited Mt Baw Baw on opening weekend.
Mt Baw Baw celebrated the official start of the snow season with natural snowfall on each day of the King's Birthday long weekend.
Mt Baw Baw alpine resort spokesperson Sally Brook said attendance on opening weekend was strong.
"It was up about 50 per cent on last year," she said. "Everyone had a really fun time."
"Unfortunately (it was) not the same level of snow as some of the bigger resorts, but people always leave happy when the snow's fallen and they've been able to play with snow falling on them."
There were a range of activities on offer across the weekend, including a chocolate frog throwing competition, tug of war, a smoking ceremony and welcome to country and a beach themed party. The toboggan park and snow play areas also were open for people to enjoy.
In the lead up to the season opening, Ms Brook said the resort was able to make enough snow to ensure the toboggan park could open before the first natural snowfall.
The second weekend of the season saw a lift turning for the first time with the Hut Platter lift opened to tower two on Saturday and Sunday.
The lift will continue to run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until Friday July 4. Additional terrain will be opened on those days as weather permits.
The snow guarantee area will begin at the start of the school holidays, including the beginner carpet, but the resort anticipate to have it running well in advance.
