Local businesses and community members are encouraged to shine bright for a powerful cause at this year's Olivia's Place gala dinner and charity auction.
The annual event will be held on Saturday, August 16 at the Lardner Park Exhibition and Conference Centre.
This year's theme, A Night to Shine, is more than just a name - it's a call to action for Gippsland to come together and make a real difference in the lives of local families.
All funds raised will support Olivia's Place, a dedicated family support service delivering free social, emotional, and practical assistance to expectant and new parents.
Serving families across the six Gippsland shires, Olivia's Place provides vital material aid - from nappies and clothing to prams and cots - as well as emotional support during the all-important first year of a child's life. Olivia's Place has become a lifeline for more than 200 families each year, thanks to the generosity of local donors and event attendees.
"The gala is more than a fundraiser - it's a celebration of community spirit," Olivia's Place operations manager Pheba Daniel said. "When local people and businesses come together, we can deliver real, practical support to families who need it most."
The evening includes live music entertainment, a gourmet three-course dinner, a thrilling charity auction featuring exclusive items, and the chance to network with like-minded community and business leaders who care about giving back.
Whether you're a long-time supporter or just discovering Olivia's Place, this is the perfect opportunity to book a table with colleagues or friends and enjoy a feel-good winter night out - all while contributing to a cause that keeps giving back to our local region.

"Every ticket purchased, every auction item bid on, and every dollar raised allows us to continue being the village behind Gippsland's families in need.
"We're calling on our local community to get behind this event - whether through sponsorship, attendance, or donations - and help us reach even more families in 2025," Pheba said.
