Pub altercation leaves man hospitalised
1 min read

A man was left with significant head and facial injuries after an altercation at a Drouin venue on Saturday night.
Police said the man had been drinking in the beer garden of the Drouin Family Hotel on Princes Way before the incident just after 10pm.
The victim alleged he had gotten into a verbal altercation with another man, before pushing him. He reported the man retaliated by punching him in the face, resulting in him falling to the ground. It is alleged a second man then joined in the assault.
Police said paramedics attended to treat the man who had lost consciousness.
He was taken to Dandenong Hospital with non-life threatening injuries before a later transfer to The Alfred Hospital. He is currently in a stable condition with head injuries, a fractured cheekbone and facial lacerations, police said.
It is believed the two men left the venue before police arrived.
Any witnesses who were at the venue are urged to contact Warragul police on 5622 7111.
