Hundreds of people turned out to celebrate Poowong's 150th aniversary on the weekend.
The three day celebration began with an old time dance on Friday night.
The town was a hive of activity for the weekend with a busy program of events, supported by local businesses and community groups.
On Saturday night about 200 people attended a celebration dinner at thePoowong Public Hall which included a book launch and unveiling of a special anniversary art work to be hung on the hall's eastern wall.
