Baw Baw CIU detectives are continuing investigations into a double fatality in Trafalgar on April 14.
Detectives, together with the major collisions investigation unit, are yet to formally identify the man and child who died at the scene.
Police believe a white station wagon sedan and empty cattle truck collided on Trafalgar-Willow Grove Rd at about 5.20pm.
The male truck driver was taken to the Latrobe Regional Hospital with minor injuries.
