Origami houses highlight crisis

The creation of 60,000 origami houses at Homelessness Week events across the state this week are set to highlight the scale of Victoria's homelessness crisis.
The 60,000 houses represent the number of households on the Victorian Housing Register waiting for public or community housing now. More than 1300 are in the Baw Baw Shire.
The Victorian Homelessness Network's "Houses at Parliament Campaign" calls for State and Federal Governments to invest in constructing at least 60,000 social homes in Victoria and to implement a national plan to end homelessness.
