Narracan candidates: Tony Wolfe
2 min read

Independent candidate Tony Wolfe believes he can be a fearless representative for an electorate that has been forgotten by successive governments.
Mr Wolfe said Narracan was seen as a "safe" Liberal seat and had been forgotten by successive governments for too long.
"We now have a chance to elect a fearless, community independent candidate who won't sit quietly in opposition. I will advocate on issues important to our community - not political parties," he said.
The Warragul resident is no stranger to local politics, having served four years as a Baw Baw Shire councillor, including one term as deputy mayor in 2012.
He also was a founding member of the Voices for Monash campaign during last year's federal election campaign.
Community members have told Mr Wolfe that better services and infrastructure were the key focus areas for Narracan.
"They also want a local politician who is truthful and honest; someone that will fight for our community, equality, and our environment.
"I will stand up for Narracan so that no one is left behind as we grow. As our population explodes I will hold profit-focussed developers accountable to provide adequate infrastructure; e.g. schools, parks and better roads.
"A hospital has been promised and I will ensure it is delivered. Critically, we also need the vital health services to make this work," he said.
An electrician, Mr Wolfe also has been a strong advocate for the environment and said he would fight to protect "our future environment and preserve our unique landscapes."
Mr Wolfe said domestic and gendered violence were unacceptably high across West Gippsland and he would work to make the community safer and more inclusive.
Mr Wolfe said an independent voice was the best way to get action in an already formed ALP government.
With the ALP not standing a candidate in Narracan, he said the ALP had "virtually given up on us."
"Liberals have already lost the election so a vote for them is a waste. Previously, the ALP has shown they can work with independents on issues important to communities," he said.
Mr Wolfe said he would put Narracan first by listening and engaging with the community and voting for the best outcome for the electorate.
"As an independent, I will make a conscience vote on every issue, not what a political party directs. I self-funded my campaign and owe no person, company or political party any favours.
"As a loud, local, independent voice for Narracan, I seek your support to help me restore your trust that our voice will be heard in state parliament around the decisions impacting our community.
"It's time Narracan was noticed and got the services and infrastructure we deserve, rather than continually being ignored as the safest Liberal seat in the state," he said.
